Course Description

This course provides an overview of the concept of personality theory and related research methods, including the Freudian and other Psychoanalytic approaches, the Trait approach, the Biological approach, the Humanistic approach, the Behavioral/Social Learning approach, and the Cognitive approach. Upon completion, students should be able to distinguish and understand the different approaches to personality theory.

Course Instructor

Dr. Hadas Pade

Hadas Pade PsyD an Assistant Professor at CSPP SF at Alliant International University. She also served as the Co-Director of the CSPP Assessment Clinic. Dr. pade has been teaching and supervising for the past 15 years. She has conducted child, adolescent, and family therapy in various outpatient settings. Her current areas of practice and research focus on psychological testing and assessment. Dr. Pade has conducted clinical and forensic based assessments with children and adolescents as well as public safety evaluations. She is an appointed ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees for the Society for Personality Assessment as the Coordinator for Advanced Training and Proficiency. Dr. Pade Co-facilitates annual workshops at the APA and SPA conventions on integrated assessment report writing. She has written and co-written several book chapters and participated in a multitude of professional presentations primarily focused on psychological assessment, teaching and training, and related diversity issues.
Dr. Pade was born and raised in Israel. She completed her education in Canada and the United States including a master’s in forensic psychology from John Jay College, CUNY in NYC and her doctorate in clinical psychology from CSPP Alameda, CA.
