This graduate level course is designed to meet the requirements for LPCC licensing in California for those with an out-of-state/out-of-country degree, which include 15 hours or 1 CE of instruction that includes an understanding of various California cultures and the social and psychological implications of socioeconomic position.  [NOTE:  Applicants interested in seeking licensure should confirm eligibility directly with the BBS.]

Topics in this course include: Intergroup Relations, Disability, Microaggressions, Working with Men in Therapy, Women in Immigration Issues, Culture of Poverty, Multiple Minorities, Interracial Relationships, Blended Families, and Working with Clients of Size.
