Course Description

This is a Master-level program which covers autism assessment and evaluations (and advocacy) and a wide range of forensic assessments in-depth. It also provides an overview of cognitive assessment and neuropsych assessment, which are generally not in the scope of LPCC practice but which should be understood from an introductory perspective. Finally and specific assessments or test instruments and approaches regarding adoption, child abuse, domestic violence and human sexuality are treated briefly..

Tamar Kenworthy, PsyD

Tamar Kenworthy, PsyD, is an Associate Professor in the Clinical PsyD Program at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) of Alliant International University. Dr. Kenworthy teaches courses in assessment measures, report writing, as well as forensic specialty courses. She is the Forensic Emphasis coordinator on the Fresno campus and a licensed psychologist practicing in the forensic field for over fifteen years. Dr. Kenworthy brings her knowledge and experience of working with offender populations, court testimony, and report writing for the courts to the classroom. She has primary research interests in assessment measure utility in forensic settings and correctional officer stress. She also conducts trainings and professional lectures on various topics such as malingering, suicide risk assessment and prevention, and clinical supervision.
