Felon Voting Laws
This course explores the history of the disenfranchisement of voting rights for individuals with conviction histories. From Reconstruction era roots through its persistence in depriving more than 6 million Americans – and a disproportionate number of Black Americans -- of this fundamental right, the course reviews the impact of disenfranchisement and its possible ramifications for democracy.
