Full course description
The Buddhist Psychotherapy Clinical Consultation Seminars are a portion of Level I for Buddhist Psychotherapy Certificate. The synchronous seminars follow the completion of the asynchronous course Introduction to Buddhist Psychotherapy Foundations. The seminars are in the format of 1.5 hours per week of synchronous meetings focused on utilizing the theory, concepts, and techniques from early Buddhism as applied to psychotherapy. Each participant will present their cases for discussion during the group meetings. To facilitate maximum opportunity for in-depth discussion, enrollment is limited at a maximum of 8 participants.
Participants are expected to utilize Buddhist Psychotherapy in some of their active case load. The content of the meetings will entail participants to present and discuss current cases within the theoretical framework of early Buddhism where clinical cases are conceptualized and proposed treatment from the Buddhist Psychotherapy approach is utilized.
